Associazione PeP was officially founded on 19 April 2025 in Porza, with the aim of continuing a journey started over ten years ago in volunteering in holiday camps with people with disabilities. Our goal has always been to create collective and inclusive experiences in which everyone can feel like an active part of a group. We want to guarantee the same quality, dedication and continuity that have always characterised our commitment, while giving new strength and structure to the activities we carry out with passion.
The values that guide our association – respect, sharing, empathy, listening, inclusion, horizontality – are the foundations of the PeP group. Respect for the integrity and choices of each person; sharing of responsibilities, concerns and ideas; empathy in relationships, regardless of role; sincere, non-judgmental listening; concrete inclusion, which reduces obstacles and barriers in everyday life. We promote a horizontal organization, both in internal decision-making and in the moments we share together, opposing all forms of discrimination and offering a real alternative to the hierarchical and institutional logics that often shape the experience of disability.
The association’s Coordination collective is made up of a diverse group in terms of age, professional backgrounds, interests and passions. Among us are social educators, a microbiologist, a geographer, an anthropologist, a socio-healthcare worker, a banking adviser and a childcare worker: different skills that complement and enrich one another, giving life to a close-knit, creative and well-organized group. Some of us have known each other all our lives, others met at university or through volunteer work.
As stated in the statute of Associazione PeP, our purpose is to organize, fund and carry out leisure activities and holidays accessible to all people with disabilities, in order to promote social inclusion and the well-being of those involved.
